The One Hai Sing Alumni

How It All Started

In early 2020, Sister Maria Ng (Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, F.M.M and Principal of Hai Sing Girls’ High 1969-1982) initiated and called for the setting up of an alumni organization for Hai Sing – now known as One Haising Alumni (#Onehaising). Her vision is to build a network bridge to connect all alumni who are presently serving in our society to our alma mater. One Haising Alumni serves to connect the 3 generations of graduates (as well as teachers) from Hai Sing Girls High School (1959-1989), Hai Sing High School (1990-1999) and High Sing Catholic School (1999 to present) together. It aims to serve as a common platform to pass on our One Haising Alumni motto:  

‘GUIDED BY THE MOTTO OF TRUTH AND CHARITY, AS CHILDREN OF GOD, WE ARE UNITED IN UPLIFTING THE SPIRIT OF OUR TRADITIONS AS WE NURTURE FUTURE GENERATIONS TOGETHER.’

About Us

One Haising Alumni is a company limited by guarantee under the Companies Act Chapter 50 of Singapore.  It is registered at ‘9 Paris Ris Drive 6, Singapore 519421’ – our present school site. The Constitution was drafted by our own Alumni members from the 3 generations of Hai Sing schools, comprising of lawyers, trust executives, accountants, entrepreneur founders and other occupations. The Constitution holds formalities and regulations-clear distinct of duties amongst directors and sub committees. The financials of ONE HAI SING ALUMNI LIMITED will be yearly audited to ensure accountability and shall report be shared with all members to give assurance of transparency.

Currently there is a Main Committee supported by three sub-committee that includes PUBLICITY, MEMBERSHIP and EVENT reporting into the Main Committee. There is  rotation of leadership, nomination and fair open election. All members are eligible to run and serve with passion.

Why Join Us

As we continue to seek Truth in our lives, many of us went on life journeys pursuing our dreams and passion and took on new challenges, callings and jobs. Many of us are also guided by Charity through our actions and daily pursuits, with interesting stories that form along the way. Hence, we hope to share these stories of our fellow alumni with all – stories of entrepreneurs, professionals, artists, talents such as those in the Arts and Sports as well as notable acts of kindness and contribution to society. Afterall, we are guided by Truth and Charity – our moral compass. One Haising Alumni will share with you where they are now, what are they doing, activities that is being planned and special offerings for all members and we hope that these will be made available as we move along.
